Brian Sutherby’s Day With the Stanley Cup in Edmonton, Alberta

Friday, October 26 was Brian Sutherby’s day with the Stanley Cup in Edmonton, Alberta. Brian played with the Washington Capitals from 2002 through 2008 before he got traded away. After concluding his professional career in 2013, he took a position as a scout with the Washington Capitals and, thus, got to enjoy a day with the Stanley Cup. Whitemud Equine Learning Centre Association (WELCA)

In the morning, he stopped at the Whitemud Equine Learning Centre Association where he gave a private showing of the Stanley Cup. Nancy QuinBen, who was there, has known Brian since junior high school. Both have someone “special” who is involved with the program.

The day concluded, as is so typical of Stanley Cup celebrations, with a party at the end of the day. In attendance were Kent Tilley who posted pictures below.
