Photos Alberta Children’s Hospital
After spending the day with Brett Connolly in Prince George, British Columbia on Monday, the Stanley Cup was off to spend a day with former Capital Jay Beagle in Calgary, Alberta, on Tuesday. (Reminder, you can find the latest schedule of dates for Capitals players “day with the Stanley Cup” right here. You can find links to each and every “day with the Stanley Cup” that have already occurred right here.)
Jay Beagle, a Calgary native and new member of the Vancouver Canucks, had a relatively low-key day with the Stanley Cup. He was spotted tooling around town with a big jug in the backseat of his vehicle, as he was on his way to the local children’s hospital in Calgary.
Several drivers in the area reported similar sightings.
Just saw three dudes driving a Bronco on hwy 1A with the #StanleyCup in the backseat…

Beagle started his day at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. One of Jay’s visits was to Ryan and Ryley Pollard. Ryan donated his kidney to his son, Ryley. (Calgary, AB) (Via @Keeperofthecup)
Jay took a number of photos with the children and their families during his visit to the hospital.

Next stop for Jay and the Stanley Cup was an outdoor event for family and friends in Calgary.

So this is what Jay Beagle picked up the #StanleyCup at the airport….is anyone surprised? Hey, this 1986 GMC Jimmy is his pride and joy! (Calgary, AB) (@keeperofthecup)
The next stop for the Stanley Cup is Dauphin, Manitoba, and a visit with former Capitals head coach Barry Trotz on Wednesday. Chandler Stephenson will have his day with the Cup on Thursday in Saskatoon and will also have the Cup on Friday, which will include a visit with the folks in Humboldt and the Humboldt Broncos.

Great that he brought the Cup to the Children’s Hospital there. And must be one of the lowest key Cup celebrations

Love these pieces, but isn’t Beagle a Vancouver Canuck– not a Calgary Flame??
Uh, you might want to double check that 2nd paragraph. Beagle might be from Calgary, but he signed with Vancouver for the next 4 years.
