On a night in which the Washington Capitals honored the man for which he was traded, forward Anthony Mantha’s game against his former club, the Detroit Red Wings, was cut short due to injury.
Per the Capitals, Mantha sustained an upper-body injury and is out for the rest of the contest against Detroit.

Mantha skated 8:18 of ice time, recording two shots on net.

One comes back and another goes down……perfect example of Newtons Third law: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Now the big question is if Ovie comes back Thursday who goes down and for how long?
Or does Mantha count as the guy who went down to make room for Ovi?
If Mantha didn’t have bad luck this season, he’d have no luck at all.
