Sold for $38,000! A lucky fan won a two-day experience featuring a 30-minute one-timer lesson from Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin‘s office, four tickets to the Capitals game the following day, a signed game-used stick, and much more. This was all part of Ovechkin accepting the “All In Challenge” by Fanatics, which encourages every athlete, sports team, celebrity, and artist to join the challenge to provide food for those in need during the Coronavirus pandemic. The auction closed at 9 PM ET on Friday.
The All-In Challenge features over 100 athlete and celebrity auctions. All proceeds are going towards Meals on Wheels, No Kid Hungry, America’s Food Fund, World Central Kitchen, and Feeding America for COVID-19 relief. More than $27 million has been raised so far.
With $10,000 as the starting bid, Ovechkin’s office lessons had a final bid of $38,000.
The Great Eight Experience:
- 100% of the money raised through this Game/Auction will go directly to Feeding America, Meals On Wheels, World Central Kitchen and No Kid Hungry
- A 30-minute one-timer shot lesson with Alex Ovechkin after a Capitals practice
- Four (4) round-trip coach airfare tickets included (domestic travel only)
- Four (4) tickets to the game the following day
- Ground transportation to and from the destination city airport included
- A lesson will take place at the Washington Capitals practice facility (Medstar Capitals Iceplex)
- Mutually agreed upon date
- Ovechkin will autograph and give you his game-used stick
- Post-game locker room access
- Two-night (2) hotel stay included
- Delivery Timing: Prize delivery time will be mutually agreed upon and determined at a later date when it is safe to do so.
Ovechkin accepted the All In Challenge on April 19. He challenged Nationals first baseman Ryan Zimmerman and rapper Snoop Dogg.

I’m not that rich, ha ha! And the would be better for a family/group that had youth hockey players in their demographic. $38K a little too rich for me. 3K or 4K or less is more my speed when it comes to auctions.
