Three Capitals Prospects Battle it Out at Kettler for Two Remaining Roster Spots

Christian Djoos, Madison Bowey, and Aaron Ness have each had plenty of success with the Hershey Bears and two of these guys will get their chance to shine in the big leagues. But one of them will just have to wait a little longer. With the roster deadline set at 5 p.m. Tuesday, each of these guys had their last chance to impress the coaches this morning.

CHRISTIAN DJOOS

Christian Djoos scored 13 goals and added 45 assists for 58 points last season with the Bears. If he makes it up you’re gonna hear Joe Beninati, Craig Laughlin and John Walton say, “the Djoos is loose” a lot this season.

AARON NESS

Aaron Ness posted five goals and 12 assists (17 points) with Hershey last season. Ness rhymes with Hess so I may give him the nickname “the truck” this season.

MADISON BOWEY

Madison Bowey looks to put the past behind him. He had a short season in Hershey with an ankle injury that sidelined him for two months. He played in 34 games last season and posted 14 points (3 goals, 11 assists).

During practice today, Bowey and Djoos were paired together.

Ness was paired with Taylor Chorney.

None of these players have been placed on waivers. It’s now up to Barry Trotz to put the final two pieces onto the Opening Night puzzle.
