Flyers Clip Capitals, 3-1; Alex Ovechkin Ties Mike Gartner For Most 30-Goal Seasons In NHL History

The Washington Capitals fell to the Philadelphia Flyers by a score of 3-1  at Capital One Arena on Saturday. The loss dropped the Capitals’ record to 23-16-6 and 52 points on the season. Goaltender Darcy Kuemper made 22 saves in the loss.

Ovechkin (30) would tie the game up at 1-1 at the 17:56 mark, reaching the 30-goal mark for the 17th time in his 18-year career, tying Mike Gartner for the most 30-goal seasons in NHL history.
