The Washington Capitals spent Friday afternoon decking the halls and spreading some holiday cheer with patients and their families at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.

The team, who donned Santa hats and light-up Christmas necklaces, made Christmas crafts…

..and created tree ornaments with the young patients!

The ornaments were hung on the tree with care as Dowd, Jensen, Backstrom, and Hathway were all there:

MedStar GUH recognized Art Therapy Program Director Tracy Councill, who retired after 31 years of work. The Capitals snapped a photo of her with Capitals goaltender Darcy Kuemper.

The Capitals thanked MedStar GUH for a fun and festive afternoon.
