ESPN and Turner Sports released their national television broadcast plans for the 2021-22 NHL season, which features 13 Washington Capitals games, on Thursday.
The team’s season opener against the New York Rangers on Wednesday, October 13 at 7:30 PM ET can be seen on TNT.

The Capitals will be featured on ESPN+ and Hulu four times before their next national television appearance against center Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday, February 1. Both matchups between the Capitals and Oilers can be seen on TNT.
The Capitals’ first game following the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing against the Rangers at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, February 24 can be seen on ESPN.

Hopefully we will get the local schedule soon. Still no word on preseason TV and it’s only 9 days away. I’m also hoping that the ESPN Plus/Hulu games will be broadcast on NBCSW. Putting Caps games on a subscription only channel is not good business.
