Great game and solid two-way play. Eller was a fiend and Sammy was on fire.
My only standout criticism is for the bench boss heading the power play – re-watch just the Canes PP entries to see the weakness of our current PP approach.
Eller’s minutes were second most among forwards (Ovechkin), and the DHL line saw 7-8 minutes of TOI.

A good rebound game vs. CAR
But still the Caps overall product is extremely suspect. They gave up boatloads of Grade-A chances to CAR (and NJD and PHI and BOS and SJS and …). But Sammy is up to the task, stopping many. Holeby is porous as a limestone sinkhole.
NJD mercilessly whomped the hapless Caps last meeting. Thursday is a rematch. It’s spotlight time for $500/hour Future Hall of Famer Washington Capitals Head Coach Todd Reirden. As before, I have little confidence
