He participated in the Capitals’ development, rookie, and training camps before injuring his hand. He underwent hand surgery on October 1, rehabbed the injury in Hershey beginning on October 15, and finally, the Capitals lent him to the Stingrays on October 31.

Clay really impressed the Gladiators’ radio announcer as he should have. Stopping 38 of 40 against a decent team in your debut?
Meanwhile today, against the bottom feeding Solar Bears, Bear Hughes has scored his first pro goal.
And now his second. Hat trick maybe?
And darn if he didn’t. Don’t see any thrown hats though. Not a SC tradition? Bad economy? Not cold enough for hats?
Go Bear! 25 minutes left. Go get some more.
Caps are looking real deep at goaltender – at least first 5 or so on depth chart.
True story. Very healthy netminding depth chart.
