The Washington Capitals held their gameday morning skate at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on Thursday. They face the Maple Leafs tonight with puck drop set for 7:00 PM.
Evgeny Kuznetsov did skate this morning with the team (illness). Laviolette said he believes it could be the same bug that other Capitals players have dealt with in recent days.

On The Road (Again)
The Capitals begin a season-long five-game road trip tonight when the face the Toronto Maple Leafs at 7 p.m. Washington has won four straight games overall and have earned at least a point in seven straight road games (6-0-1), dating back to March 8.

We’re Streaking
During their four-game win streak, which began with a 4-3 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning on April 6, the Capitals have outscored their opponents 23-10. Three of Washington’s last four games have come against Eastern Conference teams currently in a playoff position (Win, 4-3 vs. Tampa Bay, April 6; Win, 6-3 at Pittsburgh; April 9; Win, 4-2 vs. Boston, April 10). In those games, Washington combined to outscore the opposition 14-8 at five-on-five, while posting a 27.3 power play percentage (3 goals on 11 power play opportunities) and a 90.0 penalty kill percentage (1 goal against on 10 opposing power play opportunities).
The Capitals followed up their string of games against Eastern Conference contenders with a 9-2 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday, where 16 of Washington’s 18 skaters recorded a point.
