NHL To Hold “Last Man In Vote” With Nicklas Backstrom As The Capitals’ Nominee

Some may have noticed that the NHL left off a man when they announced the All-Star Rosters earlier this evening. While some, including myself, raised eyebrows, it turns out that the league is holding a “Last Man In Vote” to determine who gets the final spot on each team. Center Nicklas Backstrom, who leads his team with 34 assists and 44 points, is the nominee from the Washington Capitals in the vote. 

Voting opens at 12 P.M. on Thursday at closes next Thursday at 11:59 PM Eastern. For the link to vote, click here.

Some of the notable nominees include Tampa Bay Lightning center Brayden Point, Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Reilly, Winnipeg Jets forward Patrik Laine, and Buffalo Sabres forward Jeff Skinner.
