Canucks Jay Beagle Will Miss 4-6 Weeks With Fractured Forearm

The Vancouver Canucks announced on Monday that former Capitals forward Jay Beagle will be placed on Long Term Injured Reserve. Jay Beagle left the game on Saturday after blocking a slap shot by Florida’s Mike Hoffman. 

Beagle has a fractured forearm and is expected to miss four to six weeks with the injury, which would mean missing 13-21 games.

TSN’s Bob McKenzie announced on his twitter feed on Monday that Beagle returned home to Vancouver on Sunday. The Canucks are currently in Pittsburgh ahead of their tilt with the Penguins on Tuesday.

The Capitals will visit the Beagle-less Canucks on Monday October 22 for the first stop of their annual western Canada road trip. Beagle should be back in the lineup when the Canucks make their only visit to Washington on February 5th.
