Bellemare’s Hit on Orlov Being Reviewed by NHL Player Safety

In the third period of tonight’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers, Flyers forward Pierre-Edouard Bellemare viciously boarded Caps defenseman Dmitry Orlov, receiving a game misconduct and a five-minute major in the process.

.

According to TSN’s Darren Dreger, the hit is already under review by NHL Player Safety.

It’s probably a safe bet that Bellemare will be having a hearing in the near future.

Immediately following, Orlov was pelted with bracelets that were given away to all fans in attendance to pay tribute to the passing of  Flyers owner Ed Snider.

.

The Flyers Ryan White (who laid the hit on Orpik that would have him leave the game) was asked about the incident that resulted in Flyers fans throwing the bracelets on the ice and at players. (From @jessespector)

Bottom line! All that bullshit and you still lost! Philadelphia fans have always been nasty idiots whatever sport! Every time I have ever gone to a game they play in they show their stupidity. Throwing stuff fighting cursing. They give their city a bad name!
