Washington Capitals Players & Families Depart for Vacations

The Capitals returned home from Toronto late Wednesday night and officially began their All-Star break and bye-week. The Capitals are now off until 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 31, when they hold their first practice after break at MedStar Capitals Iceplex. As a result, Thursday was “getaway day” for Capitals players and families. Here are a few pics from their busy day on Thursday. 

Alex Ovechkin, wife Nastya and son Sergei set to depart Northern Virginia Thursday morning.

Nicklas Backstrom and son Vince, getting ready to depart rainy Northern Virginia for sunny Miami:

John Carlson and family depart from Dulles airport in Northern Virginia on Thursday evening.

Nic Dowd and his wife Paige have made their way to Marco Island, Florida.

Dmitry Orlov and his wife have made their way to Sunny Isles Beach, Florida

Dmitrij Jaskin has made his way to Miami Beach.

Michal Kempny has chosen to unwind in the Dominican Republic.

Chandler Stephenson and his girlfriend Tasha, are already in the Turks and Caicos:

Tom Wilson and Andre Burakovsky stuck around in Toronto for their first day off on Thursday, but were Miami bound on Friday.
