Not the Sabres team I expected. Tage 0 goals 0 assists?

Sounds like Ovi is playing through something. Someone asked him postgame how he felt and his “Fine” was not the most convincing I’ve ever heard. It’s kind of crazy how he’s still a point per game kind of player at 37 and not 100%.

      • Diane Doyle says:

I figure he’s been playing through something for a while as his goal scoring has slowed down since the start of 2023. But at least he scored tonight and had an assist.

        • horn73 says:

I agree that he is fine, Maybe he was sick when on a 60 goal pace….meaning not being on that pace does not mean he isn’t healthy…that pace was not going to continue…

      • Anonymous says:

I don’t think it’s much. Smokin’ Al Koken said he saw Ovi skipping into the locker room before the game, looked perfectly fine.

    Kuzy is hilarious. Good win!

Was at the game. Good gritty win. Was a lot of fun to be at. Lindgren wasn’t great but Caps overcame. I’ll take the two points even though playoffs are such a long shot.

  6. novafyre says:

Tyler Yaremchuk and Mike McKenna discussed the Evgeny Kuznetsov shooutout goal on the latest episode of Daily Faceoff Live. They recommend the goalie getting aggressive and moving out to force Kuzy to shoot early. The rules state that the goalie must stay on the blue paint until Kuzy first touches the puck and then is free to move so it would be a possible strategy. Interesting to see that his technique is getting noticed and talked about around the league.
