The Washington Capitals made their way to the City of Bortherly Love on Monday following their practice at MedStar Capitals Iceplex. They will face the Flyers tonight before the league begins their COVID-extended holiday break. The league will reopen facilities on Sunday with games re-starting on Monday.
Tom Wilson took line rushes with the team at morning skate, and it appears that he will be making his first start tonight since December 10th against the Penguins.
Justin Schultz did not participate in morning skate. Daniel Sprong began participating in morning skate, but then abruptly left the ice.
Both Daniel Sprong and Justin Schultz were pulled from Caps morning skate after their test results this am. WSH is in the process of testing again before determining their status for tonight in Philadelphia.

With a win tonight in Philadelphia, the Capitals will go into the holiday break with an NHL-best 45 points despite missing numerous players with injuries and on NHL’s COVID-19 protocol.
