Washington Capitals prospect, Martin Hugo Has, scored a goal and picked up two assists in the Czech team’s second game of the 2020 World Junior Tournament in the Czech Republic. They fell 4-3 to Team Germany.
After goals by German forwards Lukas Reichel and John Peterka, the 18-year old would get his home country on the board late in the opening frame making it 2-1 with a power play goal.

On a 5-on-3, forward Dominik Bokk of Germany scored with less than ten minutes left in the second period. The Czechs were down 3-1 at the start of the final period.

Bokk would give Team Germany an insurance goal midway through the third. It was a 4-1 game.

The Czech team answered back with a goal from forward Jan Jensen. Has had the primary assist.

Eight minutes were left in regulation when Czech defenseman Libor Zabransky narrowed Germany’s lead by one. Has’s third point of the day would come from the primary assist of the power play goal.

The Czech team had many chances but could not tie it up. They lost to Team Germany 4-3.

Has picked up three points (one goal) in two games played. In addition, the Capitals prospect has two penalty minutes and a +1 rating, ranking him 11th in the tournament player standings.
