Zdeno Chara Out For Boston As Washington Looks To Sweep Bruins: News From Capitals’ Morning Skate

The Washington Capitals wrap up their regular-season clash against the Boston Bruins on Monday night (7:00 P.M. ET on NBC Sports Washington). Here is the latest from morning skate at TD Garden.

Capitals

No changes are expected in tonight’s lineup. Goaltender Braden Holtby will most likely start for Washington.

Bruins

Defenseman Zdeno Chara will be out of the lineup on Monday night. During Game 4 of the 2019 Stanley Cup Final against the St. Louis Blues, he sustained a broken jaw and is scheduled for a follow-up procedure.

The Capitals are on the verge of sweeping the three-game season series against Boston tonight. Forward Brad Marchand and head coach Bruce Cassidy spoke to the media about the importance of a win versus the Capitals.

Center Joakim Nordstrom is in the lineup for forward Chris Wagner tonight. Defenseman John Moore will play alongside defenseman Charlie McAvoy. Goaltender Tuukka Rask is likely to start for Boston.
