On September 29, the day Riley Sutter signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Washington Capitals , he potted a pair of goals and an assist in Everett’s win over the Tri City Americans (here). Saturday night Sutter continued his scoring streak with a pair of goals and an assist in Everett’s 7-2 win over the Kamloops Blazers.
Prospect profile: here.
First goal
Sutter’s first goal came as he laid back on a potential offensive zone clear. The Silvertips defenseman made a nice play to keep the puck in the Silvertips zone, tipping the puck to a forward who found Sutter behind the defense. Sutter made one deke and finished.
Second Goal
Sutter’s second goal was a result of his work in front of the net, getting a piece of a shot from Jake Christiansen launched from the top of the left circle.
Riley’s Game-By-Game breakdown:
That’s Sutter’s second multi-goal game in the last two weeks. In eight games played so far this season, Sutter, the Capitals third round draft pick in 2018 (#93) has four goals and seven assists (11 points for 1.375 points per game average).
