Gazley, known for his speed and quickness on the ice, was sidelined for most of last season due to an injury in October. He returned to the team and the ice in March.

A native of Novi, Michigan, Gazley has been with the Bears since the 2013-2014 season. Prior to that, he was a member of the Binghamton Senators organization. He’s played for the Greenville Road Warriors, the Elmira Jackals, and the then-ECHL affiliate of the Bears and Capitals, the Reading Royals.

With the Bears, Gazley has accounted for 85 points (41 G, 44A) in the regular season. Additionally, he’s played in 38 post-season games with the Bears, logging 14 points (7G, 7A).

In the release, VP of Hockey Operations, Bryan Helmer said, “With his injury, we missed Dustin’s contributions greatly last season. He’s a guy who adds a great deal of speed to our lineup and has proven to our coaching staff he can provide a scoring punch and be a reliable player. He is a strong addition to our forward group as we continue to improve our roster.”

Gazley’s new contract is for one-year. It is AHL only.
