The hits just keep coming for the Washington Capitals. Or in the case of the 2022-23 Capitals, it’s the injuries that just keep coming. Defenseman Martin Fehervary was the latest Capitals player to leave a game due to injury. Fehervary was ruled out for the remainder of Wednesday night’s Capitals-Ducks tilt in the third period.

Fehervary was the second Capitals defenseman to suffer an injury and exit Wednesday night’s game. Nick Jensen also left the game (upper body injury) early in the first period, after taking a hit to the shoulder.

Fehervary opened the scoring Wednesday night, potting the games first tally early in the first period.

The Capitals will have the day off on Thursday and next hit the ice on Friday for practice in Northern California. They next face the San Jose Sharks on Saturday.

This team has to be tops in the NHL in man games lost right? I mean it’s been pretty ridiculous. Teams go through injury spells but it feels like this team has dealt with it all year. Which is why I think the inconsistency in our play has been an issue. Haven’t had the same line up for long stretches at all.
