Earlier in the week we published an analysis of contracts for players statistically similar to the Capital’s Tom Wilson. Today, we wanted to get your thoughts on exactly how much Wilson’s new contract should be worth.
For a little additional context, we ran a poll on Twitter yesterday with essentially the same question:

So, now we want your opinion. How much do you think Tom Wilson’s average annual value (AAV) should be for his new contract? Please feel free to leave your thoughts and comments below.
5 years, 4 million per would be a pretty good deal for Caps.
3.5mil per, I would be comfortable with a number in the middle of 3.5 and 4mil too 3.75mil but you just have to detach from the situation, and not over pay for a high energy physical power forward who racks up PIMs.
That seems to be the thinking of the voters as well, on average, $3.75.
