The 5’11”, 185-pound forward led Hershey in points and assists last season and was named team MVP. In addition, he finished the season ranked tied for third in the AHL in assists and tied for sixth in points. 4. My reaction to the news that Travis Boyd is back with the parent club is, “WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?????????”

Barry Trotz isn’t going to play him enough to develop his talent any more than he currently does Chandler Stephenson (who I like a lot better as a scorer than I do Boyd) or Jakub Vrana (who I like better than both of them…)

Again, considering the fact that coach Trotz’ PT decisions with youngsters (who the Caps absolutely NEED to play and DEVELOP if they’re ever going to have a prayer of getting past the second round) is piss poor–so I’m not too enthused about Boyd being back with the team because he isn’t going to play…not now, and DEFINITELY NOT during the pressure cooker of the playoffs…

    End,
