Washington Capitals forward T.J. Oshie sustained an upper-body injury early in the second period against the Edmonton Oilers.

Oshie was skating up ice and collided with Oilers defenseman Mattias Ekholm. He was on the ice for a lengthy period of time and looked very woozy when he eventually made his way off the ice with head athletic trainer Jason Serbus.

There was no penalty on the play and Oshie will not return for the rest of the game.

Oshie scored his first goal of the season on Wednesday against the Buffalo Sabres and has two points (one goal, one assist) through 16 games this season. The Capitals are currently trailing the Oilers 4-0.
