Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin and his family made their return trip to Russia on Monday. Ovechkin’s wife, Nastya, posted a video of the family’s significant baggage while checking in at Dulles Airport.

According to the Russian press service, Ovechkin and his family made their first public appearance of the off-season Thursday night at game 6 of the KHL’s Gagarin Cup final between CSKA and Ak Bars, being played at CSKA’s home arena in Moscow.

Ak Bars took game 6, 3-0, forcing a decisive game 7 for the 2023 Gagarin Cup.

According to TASS, earlier in the day on Thursday Dynamo FC CEO Pavel Pivovarov said that the club has been in touch with Ovechkin about playing in the team’s annual Blue-White game later this summer.

“Alexander Ovechkin can play for Dynamo in a friendly match in the summer. We are working with him,” Pivovarov said.

Ovechkin signed a one-day contract with Dynamo FC last summer and played in one exhibition game for the club. He would score the game’s first goal.

Ovechkin also showed his dominance in the game when an opposing player attempted to steal the ball from the Great 8.
