Capitals Announce “Alumni Game” Will Be Held After Outdoor Stadium Series Game

The Washington Capitals announced Thursday night that there will be a Caps Alumni game as part of the Outdoor Classic weekend festivities. The announcement was made at Caps Casino night, held at MGM National Harbor. The Capitals auctioned off a roster spot for the alumni game as part of the fund-raising activities held during Casino Night.

Details are limited, but the announcement stated that the game will be played on Sunday, March 4th, the day after the Outdoor Stadium Series game, (held on Saturday, March 3rd). The Alumni game will also be held outdoors at the Navy-Marine Corp Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland. No word on time of game or tickets as of yet.

The Capitals did not hold an Alumni game as part of the Capitals last outdoor game, the 2015 Winter Classic.

We’ll keep you posted on further details as they become available.
