Following a pair of ranked road wins by the combined score of 10-2, freshmen Ryan Leonard (Player of the Week) and Jacob Fowler (Goaltender of the Week) both earned weekly awards from Hockey East on Monday afternoon.

Boston College returned to No. 1 in the country in both the USCHO.com Poll and the USA Hockey / The Rink Live Poll after beating No. 18 Notre Dame 6-1 and No. 20 Harvard 4-1 over Thanksgiving weekend.

Leonard scored four goals over the weekend for Boston College, including the first two multi-goal performances of his NCAA career. The winger finished the weekend with seven shots on goal and a plus-2 rating.

Leonard also extended his point streak to eight games, during which he has scored eight times. The Amherst, Massachusetts native ranks fourth in Hockey East in goals per game with nine tallies, all coming in his last 10 contests.
