Tom Wilson Returns To MedStar Capitals Iceplex

Washington Capitals forward
Tom Wilson was the latest to join Capitals informal skates this morning as training camp gets closer and closer.

Over the offseason, Wilson signed a seven-year, $45.5 million extension with Washington that kicks in at the start of next season, with hopes of him becoming the next captain once Alex Ovechkin’s career comes to a close.

The 29-year-old power forward had a productive offseason, training with Paragenix Systems.

After missing the first half of last season due to ACL surgery, the Toronto native returned in early January and racked up 22 points (13 goals, nine assists) in 33 games. With a full season of regular offseason workouts, Wilson hopes to return to form heading into his 11th NHL campaign.
