Rasmus Sandin, Hardy Haman Aktell, Tobias Geisser and Damien Riat all participated in the Czech Hockey Games (Carlson Games) this weekend. The annual tournament is a tuneup before the 2023 IIHF World Championship begins next weekend.
Sweden Vs. Switzerland
On Thursday in Gothenburg, Sweden, Rasmus Sandin had the primary assist on Sweden’s first goal. Sandin was on the second defensive pair. They beat Switzerland 3-0 in first game of of three to be played by Tre Kroner.

Newly signed defenseman Hardy Häman Aktell was on the 4th defensive pair (an extra).
Defenseman Tobias Gessier, and forward Damien Riat, who the Capitals still maintain the rights for, both played for Switzerland. Riat played left wing on the fourth line while Geisser played in the second pairing.
The tournament then moved to Czechia for a weekend set of games, with Sweden facing the Czech Republic and Finland over the weekend of May 6-7.
Sweden Vs. Czech Republic
On Saturday the Czech Republic beat Sweden 4-2. Rasmus Sandin remained on the second pairing while Hardy Haman Aktell moved up from the fourth pair/ extra to the third pairing.
Sweden lost 4-3 .Rasmus Sandin had the secondary helper on Sweden’s second goal of the game and the primary helper on their third tally. Sandin (#38) did have a turnover that led directly to a Czech goal and was a -1 for the game.

Sweden Vs. Finland
In the tournament finale on Sunday, Sweden beat Finland 4-3. Rasmus Sandin was elevated to the top pairing against Finland while Hardy Harman Aktell remained on the third pairing for Sweden.
Sandin was a -1 an no shots in 23:57 of total time on ice while Aktell was a +1 on three shots in 13:25 of total time on ice. Neither player recorded points.
