Sonny….. yesterday our lives were filled with rain
Sonny, you scored a goal and really eased the pain

Now the dark days go on and the bright days aren’t near
My Sonny boy shines so sincere
Sonny one so true, I love you

Thank you KimRB for this excellent throwback tune from the 1960s.
The “Redskins Kickoff Show” on local TV (WTOP-CBS) back in those days used “Sunny” as its theme song. Referring of course to the immortal ‘Skins quarterback Sonny Jurgensen.

We’re glad to have Sonny Milano on the roster. Hope the 23-24 season is better for all the young Caps

      • KimRB says:

Oh lordy, that brings back some memories. Glenn Brenner! Don’t remember the 60s, I was too young, but all thru the 70s, Sunday at noon was always Redskins Kickoff, followed by the NFL Today, with Brent Musberger.

” You are looking liiiive at RFK Stadium, in our nation’s capital, it’s the NFL on Cee Bee Esssssss”
