Tom Wilson Will Be A Game-Time Decision For Game 2

Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson scored the first goal of the Capitals first round series with the Florida Panthers on Tuesday night. Unfortunately, he would skate just three shifts for a total of 1:31 of ice time before leaving the game with a lower-body injury.

Capitals’ head coach Peter Laviolette provided a brief update on Wilson’s status following the team’s optional skate on Wednesday. He said that Wilson is getting treatment today and will be a game-time decision for game 2 on Thursday night.

Laviolette also said that defenseman John Carlson is fine after receiving a high hit from Panthers Sam Bennett late in game 1. Carlson would leave the ice and head to the locker room as the final seconds expired in the third period.

The Capitals face the Panthers in game 2 of their first-round series Thursday night at FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Florida.
