Capitals duo TJ Oshie, Tom Wilson share the screen in a Great Clips ad promoting the Final for the Cup

Teaming on the rink has long been second nature for the Washington duo of Wilson and Oshie. Now the pair — famous for tapping each other on the backside before games — has carried that chemistry over to a commercial set.

The hair-salon company Great Clips picked the longtime teammates to headline a promotional spot tied to the Final. The chain also holds official-salon billing with the league, its players' association, and the alumni group of the NHL.

As the ad opens, Oshie stands inside a salon clutching his stick while Wilson, seated behind him, gets a haircut.

Oshie introduces his teammate to the camera, telling viewers this is Tom Wilson — someone who can run a man advantage during a game and pull off the same in a barber's chair.

After a wink from Wilson, Oshie pitches a promotion dubbed "Power Play Sweepstakes," with entries available via the company's mobile app. Its reward flies a single winner, plus as many as four buddies, out to a championship-round game in 2026.

This year's commercial isn't Oshie's only screen credit. He surfaced earlier in a Super Bowl ad for Michelob Ultra, appearing alongside actor Kurt Russell, Lewis Pullman from the film "Top Gun: Maverick," and snowboarder Chloe Kim, who owns two Olympic golds.

Since stepping away from playing this past June, the champion from Washington's 2018 title run has stayed busy. He has worked regularly this season as an ESPN analyst and chipped in on Monumental Sports Network's coverage of the team's games.

For his part, Wilson is hardly a newcomer to endorsements either, having signed on with companies including Paisano's Pizza, Reebok, BioSteel, Little Caesars, and Philips Canada.
