NHL, Players’ Association To Start CBA Negotiations At Beginning Of April

NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman provided numerous updates from the league’s GM meetings from Manlapan, Florida on Wednesday regarding next season, the next Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), and more. Here are some of the most notable updates given:

  • The league and players association will start talking about the CBA, which expires after next season, in two weeks
  • Bettman does not want to extend the three-on-three overtime period during the regular season beyond five minutes
