Well everyone looks happy but apparently they didn’t practice ENOUGH? 🤔😫

    HERSHEY 2 IOWA 1

Takes a bit of the sting out of yesterday’s debacle

I count six players on the Hershey roster who could be on the Caps roster instead of “Forward X.” Even having an extra D-man would be better than Forward X.
Caps “playing favorites” ticks me off

The Caps are DEAD LAST in the NHL in scoring — OK SJS has fewer goals, but the Caps REFUSE to score goals and the fan base senses the futility. Caps showed Friday Night that their defense can be ugly too — they gave it up like a [unprintable analogy]. Speaking of SJS: They spanked high-powered VAN last night, and will KICK the Caps’ BUMS Monday night. Unless Caps somehow shake off their Wilson party hangover.

Just passing the Thanksgiving “evaluation day.” Hard to be totally negative with 10-5-2 record. But the season start was hideous and the Caps can’t score and have no power play! Boo-bird nation has solid arguments:

    – Mo Mantha has improved but the Caps need REAL scoring from that position
    – Kuzy is improved but he’s sick all the time!
    – Goaltending is reasonable — but snoozing drunken Caps made their best goalie look foolish
    – Something ain’t right with the Bottom Pair D
    – Power Play coach should be immediately exiled to Borneo
    – And the “I love Matthew P” Management contingent makes me sick. The little rascal is a wasted roster spot, period. Bring up a Hershey Bears forward who can play NHL hockey

    Merry Christmas NovaCapsFans!

Merry Christmas to you, too, Boo-bird 🙂
Been gone for so long, while the going was good?)

P.S. Prior to the Oilers game, the Caps went 6 straight games scoring 3-4 goals (mostly 4). And that against many a strong team. So, much improved in that category (were they).
P.P.S. But things to work on and fix urgently remain aplenty, that’s for sure.

Bolts announcer was talking about other teams and he said he was most surprised by the Caps as he couldn’t believe that they were in Metro second place without an ability to score goals or win power plays.

Ahoy Novafyre and Andrew777dc! Great to hear from you
Tightly bunched the whole NHL! Caps dropped six spots with a single defeat
Caps are surprising, and Bald Coach SC has achieved much “buy in” from players. Can’t ask for much more.

It is all bunched up in Eastern Conference. Good news is we have between 2-4 games in hand of the others.

Last year the west coast swing was good for us. Had a stinker, but now time to go west and win some games in hand.
