The Washington Capitals continued their current homestand with a matchup against the San Jose Sharks, and had a few different faces in the lineup, including forward Hendrix Lapierre and defenseman Hardy Haman Aktell.

Entering the third period down 1-0, the Capitals received a goal from a red-hot Dylan Strome, notching his sixth tally of the season and knotting the game at 1-1.

Nick Jensen and Haman Aktell recorded the assists on the goal, and in doing so, Haman Aktell recorded the first point of his NHL career.

The 25-year old Haman Aktell made his debut on October 21 against the Montreal Canadiens and signed with the Caps on a one-year, two-way deal in April of this year.
