The Hershey Bears downed the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, 4-0 Saturday night at the Giant Center in Hershey, PA. Clay Stevenson made 32 saves in his first career AHL shutout and Ivan Miroshnichenko recorded two assists in the win. The victory improves the Bears record to 5-2-0 on the season.

SECOND PERIOD
The Bears stretched their lead to 2-0 early in the middle frame on Mike Veccione‘s third goal of the season at 6:53 of the period. Aaron Ness (2) and Mike Sgarbossa (4) had the assists.

And that was it for the second period. Hershey led in shots 12-11 in the second period, and 19-14 after two periods. Lehigh Valley was 0 for 6 and Hershey 1 for 3 on the power play after two periods of play.
THIRD PERIOD
The Bears added to their lead on Pierrick Dubé ‘s second goal of the game at 10:02 of the third period. Ivan Miroshnichenko (3) and Ryan Hofer (1) had the helpers. It was Hofer’s first career AHL point.
