Dates For Washington Capitals’ Camps In September

The Washington Capitals put up the dates for rookie camp and training camp on their website on Thursday.

Rookie camp, which usually includes development activities and a three-game round robin against prospects of other teams within range of Washington, will be held from Saturday, September 16 to Tuesday, September 19.

A day after the conclusion rookie camp, training camp for the 2023-24 season will open but that will likely be off-ice and physical testing. Thursday, September 21 will likely be the first day of on-ice practice.

The Capitals will open their preseason schedule on Sunday, September 24 vs. the Buffalo Sabres and regular-season slate on Friday, October 13 against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
