San Jose Sharks’ coach David Quinn has been fined $25,000 for conduct demeaning the officials that resulted in a game misconduct during NHL Game No. 993 on Saturday, Mar. 4, an 8-3 loss to the Washington Capitals, the National Hockey League announced today.

Quinn was livid at the officials after a clipping penalty was called on right-wing Kevin Labanc against Washington defenseman Vinny Iorio 5:45 into the third period.

The fine money goes to the NHL Foundation.

That was an epic meltdown. Give him a gray goatee and it coulda been Torts. They may have taken most of the physical shenanigans out of hockey, but we still have coach meltdowns to keep us entertained

And hoo boy did his players not respond to it

Lol. He love to use FU. Didn’t he get punished for that before?

$25,000.00 fine isn’t going to hurt coach earning few hundred thousand for doing his job! If a ref doesn’t “catch” an incident where player is injured with all the camera angles in broadcast & not to mention fans recording photos or videos,I don’t blame him for being “pissed” off. The NHL is watching every game how do you miss anything in this day & age?
Iam sure owner will cover cost being coach was standing up for team.
