The Washington Capitals will be playing in their fourth outdoor game on Saturday, February 18, when they visit the Carolina Hurricanes at Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh for their second-ever Stadium Series contest.
While the Caps will be on the road for this outdoor game, their first in nearly four years since hosting a Stadium Series game at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland in March 2018, local media have already begun to flock south to prepare for the marquee event.
NBC’s local affiliate, NBC4 is already in Raleigh to set up for their coverage of what will undoubtedly be a busy weekend.

Despite some warm temperatures in recent days in Raleigh, the ice that adorns the field of Carter-Finley Stadium remains in good shape.

The Capitals are undefeated in their three previous outdoor contests, and will be looking to keep their perfect record and avoid a season series sweep at the hands of their division rivals.
