“Sgarbs” is the ultimate journeyman forward, a great pro. Never complains, has been a GREAT Hershey Bears leader during their Calder Cup run, and seasons before. I wish him luck and maybe he’ll even stick with the parent club. I sure can think a few on the current Caps roster who “Ain’t getting it done.”

A company man getting rewarded for his loyalty. Just hope that his reward does not come at the expense of CMM or Lapierre having less playing time. Or any other young player! Going to be interesting to see who he replaces in the lineup!

Last season and this and for several more is what happens when you hang unto players way too long and sign them to silly contracts. This is why you trade players sometimes at their peak or after winning the Cup to be able to stay young and truly retool. You do not retool like the Caps have done with older players all the time.
