Swede-est Saturday: Capitals’ Nicklas Backstrom Unveils New Beer, “Swede-est Assist,” At Eavesdrop Brewery

On Saturday, Washington Capitals center Nicklas Bäckström released his new beer line, “Swede-est Assist,” at the Eavesdrop Brewery in Manassas, Virginia. Here are the scenes during this epic beer collaboration.

Fans who purchased VIP rooftop tickets had a chance to try the Swede-est Assist Hazy IPA and receive a custom puck, sticker, and drink ticket.

A portion of the beer sales will go to the NB19 Assist Scholarship Fund for youth hockey players at the St. James Fitness Facility.

Fans had the opportunity to hang out and meet Backstrom during the afternoon and get some merch, and a can of Swede-est Assist signed!
