The Washington Capitals announced at the start of the second period of Thursday night’s game against the Lightning that winger T.J. Oshie would not return. He was ruled out with an upper body injury.

Oshie logged six shifts and 6:07 of time on ice in the first frame and was on the ice when time expired in the period.
Oshie has 19 goals and 16 assists in 57 games played so far this season. He has missed 19 games due to injury during.
After being limited to just 44 games played last season, mostly due to injury, Oshie left the Capitals preseason game against the St. Louis Blues with an upper body injury on October 5, but was able to return for opening night on October 12.
Oshie left the Predators game on October 29 with a lower body injury and did not return to the lineup until November 23 against the Flyers.
Oshie also suffered a non-contact upper body injury against the Maple Leafs on December 17 that had him miss the remainder of December.
Can someone talk with Tony Stark about some armor for the Caps?
Or at least bubble wrap uniforms

As players age some are more susceptible to injury. Part of the reason why I wonder if the Caps would be better off trading Wilson between the draft and trading deadline next year is he will be 31 and a UFA. He will probably be looking for a contract like Kuzy or Carlson and that should be out of the Caps range as they do not need to tie up that kind of money or contract length in a 31 year old power forward.
When Oshie retires he is going to need a walker or a wheelchair. Armor would be way too heavy, bubble wrap would have to be replaced multiple times during the game (one fall and slide and you wipe out one side of bubbles); so I suggest protective hinged foam suits. They would be easy to apply and repair and disposable.
I hope that the Caps can sign a new HC asap and before the draft so that he can made suggestions on the draft and retention of players and possible trades of players and picks.
