Crazy how he started +5 in first 2 games and last three, -7?
Watching the game, I think he’s trying to do too much which is understandable for a young player on a new team. A bunch of St Louis’ goals came in transition off of the Caps not converting on extended zone time or offensive chances. I’m pretty sure overall scoring chances were pretty even, but sometimes if you don’t convert it’s almost a guarantee high danger chance the other way. I know it’s frustrating now but give him a few more games and a proper training camp to get fully used to his new team.
That was a very uninspired effort by the boys.
Been a conversation here about playoffs vs higher draft picks. This to me was a tank.

Talking About possitives Alexyev played very well and with such standard, he will be great for us. See Lavi? It only took to let him play!
He was great in D and moved the puck very well yesterday. That’s what I wanted to see from him. Hats off for his play in this game = for guy of his experience he was flawless.
Another player who is amazing last few games is Marty. No words for what he is doing recently. I hope GM does everything he can do give him a deal worth of that, which will motivate him to stay long term. He should do it well and fast that deal !
Sadly that’s all for possitives. If this game was a movie its name would be Marty’s party with Alex. And if this was FRIENDS the subtitle would be: The one where 25 other skaters also joined to fill the space.

Sandin sadly is back to typical Sandin. Inconsistent and lot of work to do in his own end. TVR is Great (gosh I love him) but not 1.pair D.
Carlson is young and Irwin is Irwin. Forwards are unable to score. We play o lot in front of our net…and as it goes.
They have great games where I am very happy, what I see. And than they have games like this….
Carlsson isn’t that young. He’s 26, a bit old for a prospect. I’m still not sure why everyone has such a crush on him. He’s a very limited player, he’s just not suited for today’s NHL
