It’s become a tradition in recent years. Team’s arriving at the Winter Classic or other outdoor games have begun dressing as a team, often in some form of game-related theme. Today’s team arrivals for the 2023 Stadium Series Game between the Capitals and Hurricanes was no different.

The Capitals arrived at Carter-Finley Stadium in public school buses, decked out in high-school/college football attire, complete with letterman’s jackets, and each player holding a football. They jumped off the school buses to a mix of cheers and boos.

Capitals’ owner Ted Leonsis was on hand for the arrival as well, and gave his words of encouragement as the Capitals filed in.

The Hurricanes decided to arrive in old school golf attire. North Carolina is big golf country.

The 2023 Stadium Series game is set to begin some time after 8PM ET.
