Washington Capitals center Dylan Strome recorded two points in Wednesday’s 4-1 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers at Wells Fargo Center, continuing productivity in his first season with the Capitals.
His first point was the primary assist on right-wing T.J. Oshie’s power-play goal early in the second period. It marked his 16th thus far. Strome ranks second on the Capitals in power-play points (2g-9a—11p) this season.

Giving the Capitals a 2-1 lead, Strome would score a goal of his own on a deflection around the midway mark, potting his sixth into the 2022-23 campaign and the game-winning goal of the evening.

It marked his sixth multi-point game this season and his 41st overall.
The Capitals signed the 25-year-old on July 14 to a one-year, $3.5 million contract after the Chicago Blackhawks did not tender a qualifying offer to the restricted free agent. “I was really excited, and [Washington] showed the most interest, and ultimately that was where I made my decision,” Strome said back in October regarding his first free agency experience.
Since the signing, Strome has seen time in the Capitals’ top-six forward group and has 22 points through 28 games in a Washington sweater.

Sign him to a 3 yr deal!
I’m onboard with this ☝️
And get rid of Kuzy when Backy returns. I’ve had enough of Kuznetsov’s floating, and he’ll fetch quality assets in return
Would love for this to happen. Open center spot and clear space to sign defensemen. Wonder if he would truly bring back a return?
Well let’s hope it does’nt happen, Backstrom is’nt an upgrade over Kuzy.
Have to give GMBM credit for this signing.
Absolutely true! And if Connor Brown had avoided that awful injury GMBM would have looked like a genius. BTW, Backstrom isn’t going to replace anybody.
