Martin Fehervary Placed On Injured Reserve

According to Samantha Pell of the Washington Post, Capitals defenseman Martin Fehervary has been placed on injured reserve.

Fehervary exited in the second period of the team’s game against the Calgary Flames with what appeared to be an arm injury.

The incident occurred with just over 10 minutes left in the middle frame, with the 23-year old blueliner taking a hit from Flames forward Milan Lucic and quickly exiting down the runway.

The Capitals announced that Fehervary will not return and will be re-evaluated tomorrow. Fehervary skated 9:39 at the time he exited.

Fehervary will have to miss seven days, retroactive to Saturday.

I’d be surprised if his left arm ISN’T broken. This appears to be another more than 1-week injury for the Caps…
