Washington Capitals defenseman Martin Fehervary exited in the second period of the team’s game against the Calgary Flames with what appeared to be an arm injury.
The incident occurred with just over 10 minutes left in the middle frame, with the 23-year old blueliner taking a hit from Flames forward Milan Lucic and quickly exiting down the runway.

The Capitals announced that Fehervary will not return and will be re-evaluated tomorrow. Fehervary skated 9:39 at the time he exited.

The Capitals will make their way to Edmonton immediately following tonight’s game in Calgary. They are scheduled to hold practice at Rogers Place in Edmonton at 12:45 MT on Sunday where we could learn more regarding the status of Fehervary.

Not to be a pessimist but that look like something broke – wrist or arm. God I hope I’m wrong. Otherwise this season is about done.
They banned hits to the back so he aimed at the arm.
I suppose Johansen will get recalled, but he’s not playing as well as Gabriel Carlsson. It will be interesting to see who they decide on.
This year is cursed
