Washington Capitals center Evgeny Kuznetsov scored his third goal of the season in Friday’s 3-0 victory over the Calgary Flames at Capital One Arena, and it was a highlight-reel-worthy moment.

Kuznetsov put the Capitals ahead by 2-0 at the 16:37 mark of the middle frame, potting his third goal thus far in an impressive sliding fashion. Right-wing T.J. Oshie (6) and left-wing Sonny Milano (3) had the assists.

Kuznetsov’s 16 points (3g, 13a) in 21 games this season rank tied for second on the Capitals (captain Alex Ovechkin: 20 and center Dylan Strome: 16). Additionally, it was Kuznetsov’s first even-strength goal of the season.

Oshie picked up his second game point after scoring the opening goal in Friday’s tilt. The 35-year-old has factored in on four of the Capitals’ five goals over the last two games (1g, 3a). Milano registered his second-straight game with a point (1g, 1a) and has six points through ten games with Washington.

The Capitals now embark on a six-game, 12-day road trip beginning Saturday in New Jersey. Puck drop with the Devils is set for 7 PM ET.
