  1. Definitely not the worst game in this recent stretch. Too soon to start thinking that Strome is solidifying himself as the number 1 center? Dude is meshing so well with the club

Darcy was heavily criticized by TNT announcers and studio analysts and deserved it. Caps were disorganized and never had the lead. Torts should be mad because Fryers let this one slip away. They needed to put the Caps away and didn’t. They paid.

Lowest four players 5on5 time on ice:

Looks like a steal, he’s good at a lot of things and seems really dedicated to get better. I thought his number might have been inflated from playing with Debrincat and Kane but out of the 3 he’s having the best season. Really hope Caps sign him long term.

Darcy has me worried. I know, celebrate the win….but

    • hockeydruid says:

A goalie is only as good as the team in front of him. Yes some of the goals he lets in ae soft ones but many are the result of bad play of the players in front of him.

Jon, this is still under Shavings: Alex Ovechkin recorded the primary assist on the Capitals’ first goal, his ninth assist of the season. Ovechkin’s 18 points (9g, 9a) in 21 games this season rank first on the Capitals.

While it might be true, after this game Ovi has 19 points with 10 goals and 9 assists.

Great game to be at! Rocking the Retro OV jersey so great to see him get one in OT! Darcy definitely off. But that is why you have two goaltenders. We need Orlov back and Irwin out.

  12. hockeydruid says:

MoJo stole what was Ovies 790 goal and should not get credit for it. Ovie should sue the team for nonsupport/
